Communal Line is a participatory project by Andrew Herzog - an American transdisciplinary artist, who will be in residency at vaga between March and April.
An evolution of his photographic series
Walking Line, where he positions walking as a form of drawing. In this work, instead of walking alone and composing his image solo - to make visible the line he draws, he invites 12 people to participate and share the role of artist - subverting the role of authorship. The project develops over four days, in the construction of a performance and of a collective gesture, that will result in a video piece.
