Hodiernity | and the amphibology of the Now (Crying Allegory)+info
20 jul / 17h - 20h
Flávio Rodrigues has a multidisciplinary practice of experimental and procedural nature, where projects are integral parts of an autobiographical and referential production and construction. He has been interested in the possibilities that different materials introduce in their relationship with space and the body. Maybe that's why the scenic installation, the creation/manipulation of objects, sculptures and drawing have been recurrent.
In his latest projects, he tends to repair the object as elemental to the performativity of the builder (performer), and it is in this segment, sense and terrain that HODIERNITY | AND THE AMPHIBOLOGY OF THE NOW (CRYING ALLEGORY). Th is project takes
place at Grupo Marques Stone Quarry, and it is the specifi city of
the landscape that fuels the performance as a unique event. A circumferential system of stones is drawn on the ground, and this new organizing space projects and nourishes resonance (sound) through touch (body - hand). The stones do not belong to him; they are not wasted and are not a waste of the act. In his poetic diagram of thought, the event reveals itself, from stone to stone, amplifying the cry (noise) as a theatrical tragedy, passing the microphone (voice) to the other, in which one does not contemplate but oneself.
