RARA - Residência de Artesanato da Região dos Açores is an ongoing project by Anda&Fala. It comprises of two two complementary strands: the annual artistic residencies and the retail of the resulting products under its own brand. Curated by the designer Miguel Flor. The residencies propose the intersection between designers from different geographies and Azorean artisans, crossing traditional techniques and endogenous raw materials with different conceptual models, thus enabling the transition to new media and products. The set of pieces/products developed during the residencies is presented under the brand RARA, marketed with the aim of enhancing and innovating local craft production, the Azores Brand and affirming crafts as a profession of the future.
