Anda&Fala – Associação Cultural is presenting, until February 20 at Parque Atlântico, an exhibition of the projects and artists supported between 2019 and 2021 by PARES – Azores Artistic Activity Support Program.

Launched in 2019, PARES annually allocates €5,000 to support artists and agents working in the region through micro-grants for artistic creation, presentation, and the circulation of artists and projects.

Sponsored by Parque Atlântico, the PARES Pavilion takes shape in the shopping center’s central plaza: a circular structure designed by Azorean architect João Rebelo Costa, built from Japanese cedar (cryptomeria) wood with green fabric elements.

The temporary pavilion offers a showcase of the activities supported in recent years and highlights the PARES Program’s contribution to promoting a healthy and synergetic artistic ecosystem in the Azores.

Inside, two videos present testimonials from each of the authors—Ana Nobre, Bárbara Jasmins, Brum Atelier + Atelier Caldeiras, Cara Lavada + O Colectivo, Colectivo Trilhos, Coletivo Corisca, Elliot Sheedy, Francisca Manuel, Francisco Afonso Lopes, Francisco Lacerda, João Paulo Serafim, Jorge Kol de Carvalho, Margarida Andrade, Maria Novo + Joana Sousa, Rita Paço, Rubén Monfort, Sara Massa, Tusse Tusse, Urban Sketchers, and Vítor Teves—as well as images and videos of the projects completed between 2019 and 2021.
