João Reis is an independent curator and researcher. He studied Multimedia Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and is currently completing his master’s degree in Art Criticism, Curation, and Art Theory at the same institution. He has collaborated with Culturgest and served as Deputy Director of the Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art Gallery. As a curator, he has organized exhibitions and projects at institutions and independent venues, including the Lisbon Municipal Galleries, the Military Museum, ZDB, and the Raiano Cultural Center. He is currently collaborating once again with Culturgest on the “Desconcentrar” series, as part of the residency and exhibition “Gabinete Epistemofílico Egitano” at the Guarda Museum.
