Anda&Fala joins the European TIDAL ArtS project
Andada&Fala, through the vaga space, is part of the European TIDAL ArtS project consortium, an initiative funded by the European Union that combines art and science to inspire collective action to protect and restore oceans and inland waters.
As an official project of the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030, TIDAL ArtS is based on the belief that creativity can transform the way we think, feel, and act in relation to the environment, reinforcing the idea that “there is no green without blue.”
As part of the Residency Call, the project will award four artistic residencies—in Portugal, Italy, Finland, and Hungary—with financial support of €50,000 each. Anda&Fala/vaga will be the host entity for the residency corresponding to Lighthouse Atlântico, located in São Miguel, Azores, and will integrate an international network that also includes TBA21 (Venice), CAA Contemporary Art Archipelago (Turku), and Árpád Múzeum (Ráckeve).
The artists selected for the residency in the Azores will be chosen by a jury composed of the Artistic Direction of Anda&Fala and Blue Azores. The project will be developed over 2026 and 2027, culminating in a public presentation at the 2027 Walk&Talk Biennial.
