Anda&Fala - Associação Cultural, through vaga - espaço de arte e conhecimento, is promoting the 2nd edition of the nova vaga Award, intending to support new Azorean creative values in the expanded field of visual arts. The Award seeks to stimulate the region's artistic ecosystem every two years by awarding creative grants to develop and deepen artistic practices and the dialog between artists and cultural agents.

For whom: for people/collectives born and/or living in the Azores between 18 and 35 (art students, emerging artists, and young people who aspire to develop their practice in the expanded field of visual arts)

It consists of awarding creative grants of 5000,00€ to up to three (3) people/collectives to develop their research and creative work, with curatorial supervision and support from Anda&Fala's production and communication teams during 10 months.

The final results will be presented in a collective exhibition at vaga (last quarter of 2026). The curatorial team includes members of Anda&Fala and João Francisco Reis, guest curator of the 2nd edition of the Award, who will be part of the Appreciation Committee and will accompany the selected people/collectives throughout the process.

Implementation of activities feb — sep 2026 (artistic research, curatorial support, pre-production, production, and execution of the new artistic project. Ten-day artistic residency on São Miguel Island in March 2026 (specific dates to be determined between the teams)
Presentation of the project set — dec 2026 (group exhibition at vaga)
