Emese Bándi
Emese is a Hungarian artist (from Romania, Transylvania region) who has been living in the Azores for 12 years. She studied decorative and plastic arts in her home country. In her final project, she studied different aspects of paper and fiber art, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional explorations. She continued this study in her master's degree where she sought to deepen the subject through new research. She currently works as a graphic designer and illustrator. In addition to these areas, she has also worked as a puppet designer in the past. One of her main artistic traits is her fascination with experimentation using different techniques and artistic media. Emese finds inspiration in the island's raw energy and vibrant colors, with nature as her inspirational muse.
