Born and raised in the beautiful city of Ponta Delgada, Filipe Furtado swapped the islands for Coimbra in 2010 to pursue studies in journalism. He stayed there, but his passion for music spoke louder, and after graduating, he joined the jazz course at Tone Music School. With the guitar as his companion, he began to write, experiment, put some poems to music, and gain the courage to sing in public. An eclectic music lover, even more so as an amateur radio broadcaster, his music travels through different territories, from jazz to bossa nova, letting himself be influenced by the rich Portuguese songbook. His debut album Prelúdio, which he has been performing since 2021, was recorded at Blue House studios and released by the Azorean label Marca Pistola in late 2022.
