Jorge Jácome is a filmmaker and artist who lives and works in Lisbon. He has a degree in Directing and Editing from Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema and attended Le Fresnoy in France between 2014 and 2016.
His films are frequently presented at film festivals and museums such as the Berlinale, TIFF, San Sebastian, NYFF, Viennale, Palais de Tokyo, MoMa, TATE Modern, Tabakalera and many others.
In 2022 he had the world premiere of his first feature SUPER NATURAL at the Berlin Film Festival, for which he won the FIPRESCI Prize. His most recent short film, SHROOMS (2023), was selected for the Wavelengths Section of the Toronto International Film Festival and also for the New York Film Festival.
