Kateryna Kondratieva was born in 1985 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. From 2015 to 2018, she studied at the Odesa Art School under the guidance of curator V.Tokarev.
Currently residing and working in Ponta Delgada, Kateryna's art explores the themes of human-nature interaction through physical and emotional perspectives. She reflects on personal transformations influenced by motherhood and the experience of migration during her country's wartime. Her preferred mediums are collage and watercolor.
She participated in the following Ukrainian and international projects: exhibition 'First International Mail Art Exhibition' by Budapest Stephanie Palace Gallery, Budapest; International exhibition of watercolor miniatures 'Miniwatercolor Kyiv'; Iinternational exhibition 'Watercolor Sea', Odesa, International festival of watercolor miniatures "Miniwatercolor Kyiv"; Collective exhibition of abstract art "Another landscape", Ivano-Frankivsk; exhibition "Passage Collage" Odesa; "Kuinji Memorial" Contemporary Landscape Exhibition, Mariupol; eco-project exhibition "Green paintbrush" Kharkiv; November-December 2021 held a watercolor art therapy course for women affected by domestic violence, Ivano-Frankivsk; exhibition “Collage Garden”, Jakarta; Meta-senses online exhibition of Ukrainian art; Litosfera art showcase, Ponta Delgada; exhibition Freedom Ukraine; International exhibition “Small pictures, big stories” Lviv; illustrations for the book by Maria João Sousa “Amarelo” and workshops which explore the psychology of fear and bases of illustrations for groups of teenagers (Terra Jovem, Antero Quental) “Pinta o teu medo”, exhibition based on results, Largo Mártires da Patria.
She is an active member of Ukrainian and Azores urban sketchers movement:
