SAGA
Portugal
SAGA is an Azorean artist from the island of Faial who explores various techniques with a strong focus on feminism. Her career began with the pieces “Pudiquices”, which challenge the modesty and conservative mentality of the islands.

SAGA has exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions, highlighting events such as “Quando o Feminismo Bate o Pé, o Mundo Treme” and “Um Mar de Cravos”, as well as holding her first solo exhibition, “Deixa-te de Pudiquices”, on International Women's Day in 2024.

Currently, she continues to create installations and dedicates herself to collages, Mixed Media and linoleum prints, addressing feminist themes, criticism of the patriarchy and the dictatorship of beauty. Her passion for art history is evident in the collection “Woman in Art - Muse or Artist?”, which explores the role of women in artistic production.
