Tomaz Borba Vieira
Portugal
Tomaz Borba Vieira (Ponta Delgada, 1938) is an educator, painter, writer and cultural activist. His visual work is represented in several museums, such as the Carlos Machado Regional Museum in Ponta Delgada. As well as being a painter, he collaborates with various magazines and newspapers and has published two books of short stories and a novel. He was the founder of Caloura Cultural Center, on the island of São Miguel. He studied painting at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, Mural Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Pedagogy at the University of Lisbon and Education Sciences (MA) at Boston University.
