A Ilha (The Island) is a contemporary dance piece created by choreographers Marco da Silva Ferreira and Victor Hugo Pontes for the Azorean performance arts collective 37.25. The island of the title is not exactly São Miguel — instead, the piece intends to depict the insularity inherent to a place surrounded by horizons where we can project ourselves, but that, at the same time, confines us.
