In 1984, Alphaville immortalized the youth in "Forever Young", between desires of eternity, the search for a purpose in life and the awareness of death. The song, written in Germany in the middle of the cold war, shares in one of the verses "Let us die young, or let us live forever / We don't have the power, but we never say never", assuming its distance from power and institutions, but making it clear that there are resilience movements, simultaneous and parallel, capable of reacting and responding to social, political and cultural concerns.

"Not having the power" has never stopped the process of thinking about other structures and economies of production, including the artistic system. If anything, it motivates reflection and change, where to claim for new spaces is to work for their visibility and for the creation of an intergenerational debate that refuses permanence logic, to value the interpretation, transfer, appropriation and reinvention of ideas, standards and processes. It is here that we, as a generation and collective, are never to say never and to begin, to question, to seek and to work for other places of possibility and alternative. Of inscription.

To think about vaga is to look for ways to amplify these new voices and highlight their pronunciations, inspiring programming processes that can be created in common. This season is done with artists and participants who think and produce arts and culture from the archipelago. All of them were born after 1984, from the islands, and linked to the world by the universality of their practices, ideas and affections.
