Pontilha’s theater group has been going on for 30 years and have performed shows such as ' Papão e o Sonho ', by José Jorge Letria; ' O Segredo da Abelha', by Ricardo Alberty; 'Ivone, a princesa da Borgonha', by Witold Gombrowicz; 'O jardim das pessoas futuras', directed by Maria Simões. ' SOMNIUM ', by André Melo; ' A PROCURA ', created an staged by André Melo and "SER PESSOA" an adaptation of Fernando Pessoa’, poems, a creation of André Melo and Maria João Gouveia. Over the years the group has worked with Gina Tocchetto, António Terra, Pedro Penim, Belarmino Ramos, Rafaela Salvador, Sandra José, Maria Henrique, Rodrigo Saraiva, Pedro Giestas, Filipe Crawford and Mariana Lemos. Pontilha has performed in all the theatres of the Azores and, in 2004, represented Portugal at the children's Theatre Festival of Toulouse.
