Akane Moriyama
Japan
Akane Moriyama (1983, Japan) is a designer and artist based in Stockholm. Her academic background in architecture and textile has allowed her to develop many art projectd that defy the relation between disciplines. Since her first commission by architect Hideyuki Nakayama A Curtain for House O (2009), she has been creating textile for architecture projects in collaboration with international architects. Recently she completed installing large curtains for HIRAKTA T-SITE near Osaka. Her art installations are also shown in public space, such as Cubic Prism at the Goldsmith Hall in the University of Texas, Austin (2013), and Mirage in the Forest at Oiwa Shrine in Kenpoku Art (2016).
