CARA LAVADA is a young collective of intervention, creation and artistic production, interdisciplinary, experimental and contumacious from the city of Ponta Delgada. Its practices explore the limits of collective socio-political realities, starting from common places and identity. Among their work, highlights include the multidisciplinary project Celebrações do Centenário de Natália Correia (2020-2023), the performance Réplica ao Presente (2022), the short film Mátria (2023) and the curation of the exhibitions Do Tempo e das Nuvens (2024) and SOLSTITIUM (2025). Since its creation in 2020, it has worked with institutions such as Anda&Fala, Arquipélago - Centro de Artes Contemporâneas, Museu Carlos Machado, Teatro Micaelense, Centro Cultural da Caloura, Biblioteca Pública e Arquivo Regional de Ponta Delgada and Teatro Universitário do Porto and has had its work presented in other countries such as Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, USA, France and Argentina.
