Diana Marincu is a curator and art critic. She holds a Master Degree in History and Theory of Art from The National University of Arts in Bucharest. She is a Ph.D. student at the same university, conducting a research on curatorial discourses on identity and periphery, built around some geographical criteria in big exhibitions and biennials. In collaboration with Plan B Foundation and the Paintbrush Factory in Cluj, Diana developed the Learning and Unlearning program of workshops and the new curatorial program called DOMINO. Her most recent exhibitions include: Narrating Images / Imagining Stories, Domino, Cluj (2017); The White Dot and The Black Cube, a curatorial project in six parts (together with Anca Verona Mihuleț), National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest (2015-2017); Inventing the Truth. On Fiction and Reality, representing Romania at the 56th edition of the Venice Biennale, Romanian Cultural Institute Venice (2015). She has been recently appointed curator together with Ami Barak of the 2017 edition of Timișoara Art Encounters biennial.

The Festival's Exhibition Program opens with a collective exhibition at the Walk&Talk Gallery, which in the 2017 edition will be curated by Diana Marincu, whose participation is supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute - Lisbon.
