Joana Sá
Portugal
Composer and pianist, her work is marked by transdisciplinarity, experimentation and the search for artistic (de)formats. As a soloist, she created 'a body as listening - resonant cartography of music (im)materialities', a recent work with multiple outputs and formats, as well as the trilogy of solos à escuta | o aberto (2010-2016), central to her PhD (2020) in Performance/Music developed at UA with an FCT grant. She performs at national and international venues, is active in various ensembles and has published several albums and a book. With Luís J Martins, she founded and is artistic co-director of à escuta, a collective for artistic creation and interdisciplinary reflection, developed in and with communities in Serra da Estrela.
