Jorge Jácome was born in Viana do Castelo (Portugal) in 1988 and spent is childhood in Macau. In 2010 graduates in cinema in Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon and in 2016 finishes a post-gradutation in Le Fresnoy – Studio National des arts Contemporains.
His work is based on a strongly intuitive and sensorial process resulting in films made of narrative drifts, unexpected relationships and unusual encounters.
His short films have been shown at film festivals and exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and Israel, and in retrospectives at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, CalArts - California Institute of the Arts and at Georgetown University.
He currently lives between Lille and Lisbon.
