José Alberto Gomes is a musician, sound artist and curator from Porto, Portugal.
Graduate in Music Composition, he created strong bonds with new technological possibilities and the role of music in music theatre, film, installations and electronic improvisation, taking particular interest in seeking new ways and new musical “places”.
Has completed his PhD in Computer Music at Catholic University and he is a professor in the Composition course at ESMAE-IPP, in the Digital Media Arts PhD at Aberta University and Digital Games Engineering and Development Master at IPCA.
He is also the curator of the project Digitópia (digital music platform based at Casa da Música, Porto).
