Maria Ana Vasco Costa creates sculptural objects and site specific artworks, working primarily in the field of Ceramics and Painting. Based in Lisbon, she has a degree in Ceramics and Fine Arts by Ar.Co Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual and a Master degree in Architecture by Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
Since 2016 Maria Ana has been creating bespoke ceramic surface interventions composed of three dimensional and plain glazed earthenware or stoneware tiles. All projects are handcrafted, factory produced and made in Portugal. She was shortlisted for the Mostyn Open 19, and won several Surface Design Awards from 2016-18.

Maria Ana is the co-head of the Ceramic Department in Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual since 2013.
