Maya Saravia
Guatemala
Maya Saravia was born in Guatemala City, 1984. Currently lives and works in Madrid. She studied Graphic Design, Fine Arts and History of Art. Her main interests are language and the nature of information, the historiographical construction of collective memory and how it interlinks with art, knowledge, perception and experience. She works on installation, painting, graphic design and archive.

Solo exhibitions include All Tomorrow’s Parties in Institut für Alles Mögliche, Berlin, Blind Drawings, Espacio Naranjo, Madrid. Collective exhibitions include Inhabit the border and Gold Seekers, in OTR, Madrid, Maybe we should all be dead, en La Erre, Guatemala City; Heartbreaker in Proyectos Ultravioleta and the XVII Biennial of Art in Guatemala City.
