Vânia Rovisco, defines herself since 2008 as a performative visual artist, bridging the body within the art gallery, where she expands her work to other mediums - live installations, light, video. Between 2001 and 2007 she was an performer for Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods. Teaches workshops, directs movement and continues to work as an interpreter. Creation of an new dance piece, co-produced with Teatro Micaelense and the Arquipélago – Contemporay Arts Center, with premiere scheduled for July 28. The show brings together azorean creators and a special collaboration from Jochen Arbeit, a german musician and composer, founder of Automat, and member of bands like Die Haut and The Jever Mountain Boys.
