We will go on an excursion in the opposite direction, towards the genesis of being and of the island. In Ponta Delgada, we will reflect on the now, in the exhibitions by the artists Joana Franco and Mané Pacheco. Then, in a dialogue between speculation and science, we will go to Ferraria, as those who seek comfort, whether in the warm wave or the cold waves. And, with artist Luísa Salvador, while the day goes by, we will observe other times, through layers and geological records. On our return, through Tropa Macaca's work, we will put everything into confrontation.

Ana Cristina Cachola is a teacher, independent curator and writes regularly for artistic and academic publications. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, an institution where she teaches.
João Paulo Constância is a biologist and museologist at Museu Carlos Machado. He develops activities in the areas of project management, science dissemination, documentary systems and training.
