Presentation Bienal Walk&Talk 2025+info
15 nov (fri) 19hβ00h
In 2023, we began the transition from a festival to a Biennial format, seeking to (re)imagine futures and reflect on models, practices and alliances. This πππ’ππππ¦ π‘π π‘βπ π΅πππππππ has been informed by meetings, residencies and assemblies, which now open up to everyone.
In this first moment of the Walk&Talk Biennial KICK-OFF, we will present the curatorial proposal, the 2025 dates and the initial list of artists, in the presence of the core team: guest curators Claire Shea (Toronto, Canada), Fatima Bintou Rassoul Sy (Dakar, Senegal), Liliana Coutinho (Lisbon, Portugal) and artistic director Jesse James (Azores, Portugal), as well as some of the resident artists (first confirmations).
There will also be dinner and celebration, with a DJ set by Jokkoo Collective, an interdisciplinary musical collective that will bring us sounds from the contemporary experimental currents of the African continent, its diaspora and its allied communities around the world.
