Centriphery is a collaborative project between nine partner organizations based throughout Europe, which includes Walk&Talk - Arts Festival, along with Stichting Culture Nova (Netherlands), Dansehalleme (Denmark), Prin Banat Association (Romania), La Manufacture Collectif Contemporain (France), Nova Kultura (Bulgaria), Espoonkaupunginttheater (Finland) and Festival of Regions (Austria). Multidisciplinary, inclusive, and intergenerational, it invites artists to dialogue with citizens and agents based in decentralized regions, to investigate the European intangible cultural heritage.

The Azorean stage will be presented in July 2022 during the 11th edition of Walk&Talk, with a collaborative project by architecture duo Mezzo Atelier – Joana Oliveira (Pt) e Giacomo Mezzadri (It), artist and choreographer Gustavo Círiaco (PT, BR), theater director, musician and writer Ovidiu Mihaita (Ro) and contemporary artist and composer Tellervo Kalleinen (Fi). Local musicians and performers will also be an integral part of the play. The process began in October 2021 with several interviews, meetings, and workshops to reflect on ownership, loss, and desire issues.

A Walk on the Edge will be a performative experience and a collective journey in Fenais da Luz, a village on the North coast of São Miguel Island. The pathway connects Azores' history, a local tragedy from the 1980s, and the audience members’ personal relationship to owning. Starting from the overwhelming idea that If you live on the edge, you might lose your belongings overnight, the collective began to raise questions about the meaning of ownership and its relation to property, society, and time.

The performance will be presented on July 23, at Fenais da Luz.
