ANITA NEMET (Khmelnitsky, Ukraine, 1993) is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and researcher based in Ponta Delgada Azores. Works with graphics, photography, installation and performance, often in interdisciplinary collaboration with musiсians and theater. She was a founding member of artistic group UPALA (2015-2018). She is interested in subjects such as local city context and community, POPculture, feminism, queer culture, Ukrainian art of the XX-XXI century, generation discourse and the intersection of artistic practice with motherhood.
In 2014, she graduated from Kamyanets-Podilsky Ivan Ohienko National University, where she studied Restoration of art works (bachelor). In 2016, she graduated from Lviv National Academy of Arts, department of History and Theory of Art (master's degree).
2016-2017
Anita worked as a host of the TV show "Art Center" about arts and culture on a regional television "Podillya Center" She was an Art and fashion history lecturer at Khmelnitsky National University Faculty of design and technology. AResearcher and coordinator of educational programs at the Khmelnytsky Regional Art Museum, Curator of exhibition projects in museum space and gallery which was a laboratory for local contemporary artists.
