Weaving the world: Great Themes in Contemporary Art with Liliana Coutinho+info

The themes we encounter in contemporary art practices are, like these practices, multiple and diverse. This workshop aims to reflect on and acknowledge the way contemporary art weaves concrete relationships with the world from which it emerges. We will also relate pressing issues that arise in the territory of contemporary art with the critical discourse and contemporary thought that arise from other areas of human expression and sociability.
Objectives:
- To know the way contemporary art practices articulate with the world in which it emerges, by analyzing the themes that are present in the contemporary context (ecology; decoloniality, and performativity, among others);
- To distinguish this relationship from the instrumentalization of art through its thematic approach, from a historical and critical approach;
- Stimulate the debate around contemporary artistic practices.
