Several accounts suggest that, before the Portuguese arrived in the Azores, others may already have passed through these islands, leaving behind their constructions in stone and worked land. How individualistic it would be to think that these untamed lands, lost in the middle of the ocean, were only discovered so late.

Building on the same speculative practice through which the sculptural work was developed, this guided performance unfolds around the possibility of a structure that may or may not be found along this path, left or not by an older civilization. Modern man attempted to leave his mark on nature, but the land soon turned against the farmer, and these same structures were eventually consumed, leaving it to new enthusiasts to dream and speculate about questions of time and permanence.
