#7 Transmalhar Encounter in Guimarães+info
23 nov — 10—16h
From the intersection of the words transdisciplinary and tresmalhar ("to disperse") comes Transmalhar, a project by Anda&Fala — Associação Cultural (São Miguel) that, through artistic practices and walks, explores the relationship we establish with the territories we inhabit. Each Transmalhar is different, but all of them promote encounter, dialogue, and artistic experimentation among people, and between them and the spaces around them.
On November 23rd, Transmalhar will take place in Guimarães for the first time, with the support of walk.Lab2Pt. In this event, we invite everyone (of all ages) to challenge the algorithms and rhythms imposed by digital technologies. Upon reflection, the digital realm has profoundly conditioned human interactions and relationships — for example, dating apps and social media serve as virtual means of connecting people. Their use “shortens” distances and can even alter our perception of time. In response, we will explore alternative forms of pairing through artistic experiences guided by the artistic team (Helena Oliveira and Rita Serra e Silva) and accompanied by young Transmalhadas.
