LABTEMPO is an artistic laboratory and working group that follows the activities of TEMPORADAS da vaga, culminating with the organization and design of the artistic program of the fourth and final TEMPORADA of the project.

LABTEMPO intends to create and challenge a collective of people living in São Miguel Island, selected by open call, to follow the first three TEMPORADAS da vaga through the participation in working sessions and meetings guided by the artists and curatorial teams involved in the project. The culmination of this laboratory will be the organization of the fourth and final TEMPORADAS (May-June 2023), where the collective will be responsible for deciding the theme, artists, and projects to integrate its programming cycle.

This laboratory is a formative project that aims to provide a space for dialogue and sharing to stimulate reflection and the acquisition of skills among the participants around issues related to artistic production and curatorial practices in the broad arts field. Simultaneously, it generates a context of action where the group will have the opportunity to design an artistic program, coordinate teams, organize a production budget, and manage the expectations of audiences and partners.

People aged 15 to 35, residing in São Miguel between 2022 and 2023, with interest in artistic areas (experience is not mandatory)

➔ CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
February 2022 to June 2023;
Participation in practical exercises, talks, workshops, and seminars;
Orientation by the vacant team and partners from Norway and Iceland;
Co-curating and designing the programming of the 4th and final TEMPORARA;
Fee 2200€ participation *spread over the 4 TEMPORADAS.
