Blanca Martín-Calero has been living in São Miguel for 17 years. Born and raised in Valladolid, majored in Filologia Hispânica. Did Erasmus in Coimbra, city where the relation with the island started. Taught Spanish several years at UAç. Ending this cycle, initiated Araucária Edições, an editorial project, that links several passions: books, literature, knowledge and the Azores. Published a bilingual book in poetic prose, Neste Mar Imóvel (2019), and a book for kids Miguel dos Botões (2020). Married with three children.
