Walk&Talk is a biennial on the island of São Miguel, Azores, that brings together people from different disciplines and geographies, fostering artistic creation that is deeply rooted in the archipelago's unique cultural and geographic context.
Walk&Talk biennial will take place across the island of São Miguel between September 25 and November 30, 2025.

In 2023, Walk&Talk began its transition from annual festival to a biennial model. This was decided with the aim of not only lengthening the program's reach but also deepening its capacity to foster long-term projects and collaborations, with artistic residencies and development occurring in the "off" years, building towards each biennial edition.
Walk&Talk biennial will run from September 25 to November 30 and can be visited during any period between these dates. The opening and closing weekends (25—28 sep e 28—30 nov), as well as an intermediate weekend (7—9 nov), will feature a more comprehensive program.
Besides inviting artists, each edition of the biennial will have open calls. The open calls for 2025 have now closed.
The curation and programming of the biennial is done by a communal network of artists, curators, and teams, drawing on collective intelligence to explore the creation, experience, and sustainability of artistic practices. The core team includes guest curators Claire Shea (Toronto, Canada), Fatima Bintou Rassoul Sy (Dakar, Senegal), Liliana Coutinho (Lisbon, Portugal), artistic director and curator Jesse James (Azores, Portugal), working collaboratively and engaging creatively with the teams in the organization.

The theme of the biennial this year is Gestures of Abundance. More information can be found in the curatorial proposal here.
Walk&Talk's program spans multiple disciplines, including visual arts, music, architecture, and design, emphasizing participatory and site-responsive approaches.
