Architect working in Portugal, with projects in the areas of housing, commerce, services, tourism and urban planning. In 2011, she was head of design, in London, at Universal Design Studio, with Barber&Osgerby, winners, in 2013, of the Maison & Objet - Designers of the Year award. In 2009, she won the Inov-Art program, organized by the Ministry of Culture, and went to Los Angeles, where she deepened her knowledge of prefabricated structures. Between 2005 and 2009 she worked between Paris and New York at Atelier Jean Nouvel, winner of the Pritz-ker Price award. Carolina Backlar studied in Paris at the École d'Architecture de Paris la Villette and graduated from the FAUTL in 2006.
