Singer, songwriter, and multi-artist Jhon Douglas comes from the jungle, free from prejudices and preconceived ideas. He released his first music record in 2019, with an EP titled MATO, and the first studio album from the project Jhon Douglas - JungleBoys & Maritacas, with a contagious musical energy and stage presence that has circulated through Portugal's leading music venues. Born in the Brazilian Amazon, Jhon is a self-taught artist who has materialized his concerns and worldviews in different creative mediums, especially visual arts, music, and multimedia communication, for over ten years. His creative process maintains strong Amazonian references, stimulated by nature and the characteristic simplicity of the countryside. All of this is reflected in his paintings' vivid strokes and colors, the silhouettes of the masks he sculpts, and his way of being and interacting with the world around him.
