Ricardo was born in Beja, but grew up in Setúbal. He studied photography in Tomar. In 2014 he moved to São Miguel with Mafalda, his partner. Together they started "The little Big House", a family project consisting of the self-construction of a wooden house on wheels and totally off the grid. They have lived for 2 years in this house with their 2 children, Joaquim and Jeremias.
