Talk - Geopolitical Commensality+info
15 may / 15h00
What would happen if we thought of Caldeira das Furnas as an open-air community kitchen, where notions and practices of femininity and masculinity are constructed and represented? The practices of cooking and eating originate culturally choreographed gestures, habits and body languages that are passed on and re-enacted from generation to generation. This talk intends to be a moment where we observe, share and interpret what is happening there for a (participated) history of women and their reproductive work.
Each participant should bring with them an object, food or image of their choice that represents the Furnas stew.
