MUSA AZORES
14 set — 10h—13h
The banana plant is a herbaceous plant that bears fruit only once. Afterward, we lay it on the ground and dismantle it to extract three types of fiber from this bio-waste — silk, straw, and mesh — each with different colors and textures, which we then set out to dry. This morning, we invite you to learn more about where these characteristics come from and explore some of their creative potential. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get hands-on as we experiment with, prepare, and weave these fibers to create your small banana fiber basket.
