Nature finds its way. Sculpting its own path. Dominating the inner pockets of the city. Abandoned houses find themselves with a new role. Dust piles up in cracks, and a seed makes its fertile soil in the most unlikely place. A fresh flower emerges. The artist duo Krot & Krass have found themselves in a similar setting, partial nomads in a strange place, sculpting their way to fruition.

Out of the strong came sweetness reflects on nature’s inherent capability to find a way. Some way, somehow. Displayed to the viewer through a sculptural and material-heavy approach with a constant undertone of the fragility and hardships a soil can express, yet always remaining a soil.

The exhibition is the result of a two-month artistic residency on São Miguel Island, in the context of vaga’s Temporada #2 - Common Codes.
