Walk&Talk - Arts Festival was part of the 6th edition of Lava Circular festival, which took place between 3 and 5 November in El Hierro, in the Canary Islands.
Luís Brum - co-artistic director, Rubén Monfort - production director, and Mariana Lopes - photographer, were the members of the Walk&Talk team in residence on the Canary Islands during the period of the festival and were responsible for developing a conversation to present Walk&Talk - history, projects, and future.
The team's participation made it possible to establish contacts with various structures and artists from (or circulating in) the Canary Islands. Also, it strengthened the collaboration started last year in the context of the 10th edition of Walk&Talk, where Lava Circular was invited to develop an artistic and curatorial residency on the island of São Miguel.
Lava Circular is an interdisciplinary circuit on the island of El Hierro, which proposes to discover the territory through itineraries that expand across its three municipalities (Valverde, El Pinar and La Frontera), and which include musical projects, talks and artistic actions that revolve around the traditional and contemporary culture of the Canary Islands.
