Jochen Arbeit moved to Berlin in 1989 to became part of the loose artist and music movement G
eniale Dilettanen, which had its roots in Punk Rock and Dada. 1983 became a member of the Instrumental-Band Die Haut . In 1997 he became a member of the
Avant-garde Noise Band Einstürzende Neubauten. In 2006 began working with performance artist Vânia Rovisco. 2008 released his album Arbeit Solo. In 2010 he began inviting like-minded musicians for his Concert Series Soundscapes. Presented his first Solo-Concert on the LEM Festival, Museum of Modern Art Barcelona. 2011 founded Band AUTOMAT with members Zeitblom and Achim Förber. Current works and collaborations in Performance/Dance: Böse Diva Productions; choreographer Milla Koistinen. Ongoing projects: AADK (Abraham Hurtado/Vânia Rovisco), Soundscapes (Live Improvisation Concert Series), Aufladetechnische Konferenz (with Schneider) and the band AUTOMAT.
