Designer and artist with a multifaceted background, since 2016 he leads OBDA (Octavio Barrera Design Atelier), a small workshop that offers design services. His work revolves around furniture, objects and crafts. Using wood and primary materials as a clear identity of his language, simple and austere. Immersed in various cultural and creative projects, he currently works between the Canary Islands and Barcelona, where he combines the design and production of furniture, lighting and objects in his studio-atelier, with his Creative Explorations, self-initiated exercises in which, through research on processes and materials, he develops and creates one-off pieces and objects with a hands-on approach.
