Tellervo Kalleinen is a Helsinki based contemporary artist whose work bases on creative collaboration. Her art looks into the dialogue between an individual and a collective and takes many forms, such as participatory cinema, installation, performance, public art, reality games and music. Tellervo forms a duo with Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. Together they founded Complaints Choirs -concept, which has spread to more than 200 cities around the world as an open source concept. Tellervo is also part of a performance group JOKAklubi.
Tellervo has exhibited widely in venues such as Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), P.S.1 (New York), The Kitchen (New York), Shedhalle (Zürich), Kunsthalle Fridericianum (Kassel), KUMU Art Museum (Tallinn), KIASMA (Helsinki) S.M.A.K. (Ghent), Shanghai 21st Century Minsheng Art Museum (Shanghai) and Ars Electronica Center (Linz). The duo Kalleinen & Kochta-Kalleinen received AVEK Award in 2012 and in 2014 they received the most prestigious art award of Finland, Ars Fennica.
