This first excursion explores a possible dialogue between the works of Catarina Gonçalves and the duo Ana Quiroga & Estela Oliva. The first artist focuses on the woman-mother and the following on the whale matriarchy. Somehow we see both works questioning the female roles in our current society, either if they are a choice or a response to their natural circumstances. As an homage to those that break the normative system in the Azores, we will spend this day with people that will show us the territory from their own perspectives.
