Audiovisual artist Danny Bracken creates melodic electronic music under the name Low Lumens. Bracken spent five years as a member of the Chicago collective Anathallo. The band toured extensively and released their final album with Anticon in 2008. In 2014, Bracken began Low Lumens, releasing Dawn/Dusk (2014) followed by The Distant, Everyday (2017). In 2018, he teamed up with LA based artist and filmmaker Samm Hodges to develop a dynamic live performance using projected animations that are triggered and manipulated live with the music. Also a composer of musical scores, Bracken has worked on projects that range from commercials for Google, an ABC television sitcom, and a Sundance Film Festival award-winning documentary.
