Invisible Spaces is the motto of TEMPORADA #1 where, in partnership with the North Norwegian Art Centre in Norway, we think about visibility to highlight the invisible, the camouflaged, the immaterial, the erased and the unknown.

The TEMPORADA starts with a solo exhibition by the Canadian artist Tanya Busse - Secretary of the Invisible, invited by the Norwegian partner - NNKS, and curated by Karolin Tampere. Busse will be in residence in the Azores for a new project to be presented in May. Throughout the 3 months, there will be several other presentations resulting from new commissions or premieres, such as by Andrew Herzog & 37.25 - NAP, Violaine Lochu or the collective Cara Lavada, and there is music and partying to open and close the TEMPORADA.

We return to meetings and conversations to imagine and discuss contemporaneity, organized by artists, agents and thinkers, such as Assembly #12 or the Constellations Forum, in partnership with CRESAÇOR. We open Mesa Posta, an ephemeral restaurant that occupies the place from time to time, and CINEMA CALHETA with a cycle of films that challenge the idea of "place" and geological, historical, and social times to visualize the contemporary politics of territory - from exploration to extractivism, to the ecologies of movement and the use of space and the city.

Simultaneously, there is a Knowledge Program with guided tours and workshops for children and adults, and seminars and trainings proposed by the newly created Escola vaga, an independent program of artistic studies for the school and artistic community living in the Azores.
