Black Dolphin+info
Horácio Frutuoso, Tiago Alexandre
July 15th-31st
Black Dolphin is a highsecurity prison in Siberia, where the most dangerous criminals in Russia fulfill their penalty. Two dolphins painted black figure at the entrance of this inhospitable place. A trace of life and apparent tenderness in a cold environment as this prison administered by the military. Dolphins are used as a friendly and caring figure, considered a symbol of fraternity with man for their learning capacity of humanoid behavior, however this same animal was once considered violent, with sociopaths and cannibalistic instincts. This ambiguity of feelings and thoughts of a incarcerated, as a measure unit in search of another level of meaning, is what interests us to explore. Small events will turn into great moments, like a teenager's crush is elevated to a great love. The lack of vision will transform things. Life will exist but limited to a restricted space, our belief is that poetry is the only escape.
